I would like to personally invite you to our Annual NAACP Charlotte-Mecklenburg Branch Freedom Fund Banquet and Community Service Awards on Saturday, November 1st at 5:30pm to be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216
Over the past year, our NAACP branch has been busy advancing its mission to promote health and wellness, educational equity, environment and climate concerns, behavioral health, and economic equality for all of Charlotte. All families, neighborhoods and lifestyles are negatively affected when inequities exist - even if it's not always readily apparent. Proceeds from the banquet will be used to support our intersectional justice work which includes environmental justice, criminal justice, educational justice, LBGTQ and economic equity, youth programs, legal redress, concerns for women and children, voter rights, and more.
